Hi SonotaCo,
I recently registered to the UFOCapture 2 software and immediately I started to record avi files. I use a WAT-120N camera and a 8mm lens. The camera is 178 km far away from my home and I access remotely to the camera using the VNC Viewer software and I download the avi files, and related files, by ftp. I receive the video signal of the camera from a video splitter that amplifies the signal and produce some interferences. The computer is 26 meters far away. The reason to use a video splitter is to obtain 3 signals, one to be received on a video server that uploads to Internet images every minute, and the other 2 signal to be received on 2 different observatories. I also use a usb video capture device.
I'm a beginner and I have problems to obtain results with UFOAnalyzar 2. I follow the manual but the analyze process don't detect objects. If I decrease the ddl parameter to 0 I only obtain a __none class object. As an example, two nights ago UFO Capture recorded a meteor. The XML file recorded by UFOCapture 2 is,
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

Thank you in advance.

Hi Francesc
Welcome to this forum.
Thank you for detail information and true media files. It is very clear.
Well your trouble is very serious.
It is because that you used WAT-120N slow shutter (frame integration) mode.
So the video frame rate (25 or 29.97fps) is not equal to the image changing interval
(= shutter speed,may be 1 sec?)
Therefore the continuous motion detect logic of UFOAnalyzerV2 did not work.
It might be shock for you that slow shutter cannot be used.
The motion detect logic of UFOseries is design only for the real frame rate type.
Originally it was for the acurate velocity measurement, but even if you do not need the velocity information, frame integration camera cannot be used.
Please do not use frame integration mode.
Frame integration improves the sensitivity of still object only, it increase the background level but not improve the sensitivity of moving object.
So the total motion detect sensitivity is awfully decreased. So no one use frame integration for meteor observation.

Hi SonotaCo,
Thank you very much for your help. The next time I go to the observatory I will deactivate the frame integration mode (It can't be done remotely).
Best regards,
Francesc
