Hi,
Just been looking over my notes for last year and it was a complete washout!
I missed all the major showers due to bad weather.
My usual system is a 902H2 ultimate with a 3-8.5mm f1 zoom at around 7mm.
For the year I recorded only 61 meteors in 71.25 hours of observation. (I recorded nearly three times that in just one night during the Geminids in 2010!). How have others faired?
Regards,
Bill.

Hi
I am using 7 cameras and caught 14245 meteors in 2011 under the bright light pollution of Tokyo.
Some stations in our network that have good sky reports almost twice of me.
Results being uploaded here.

There are many happenings on observation that bother continuous stable operation.
Camera housing trouble, cable trouble, PC trouble, Setting trouble....
I think the best way to increase the capture is the daily checking of results of every night .

Hi,
That's a fantastic amount! I know of some other UFO user groups that have similar huge totals.
I'm going to add a second 902 later this year but the limiting factor in my part of the world in the weather. From my experience I'm lucky if I get 1 night in 10 completely clear. It can be very depressing at times.
I've tried every sort of observing method over the past thirty years but since I discovered UFO Capture it never fails to amaze me just how many meteors the Earth actually encounters.
Cloudy or not I'll keep on watching.
Regards,
Bill.

Hi Bill et. al.,
I finally updated my results for 2011, the details of which can be seen on my blog at [1]. I'm still only running the one camera, however I did catch more meteors in 2011 than 2010. Interestingly the system was turned off for nearly a month in 2011 so technically there were more days that it was operational in 2010. I suspect the weather being the major factor there.
I am still yet to perform UFO Analysis on my two years worth of data. I have performed it on some months, but still can't submit automatically to IMO (that I am aware of) so haven't been overly motivated to do it all. I may post the analysis data in a table of some sort just for fun at least

Hi Daniel,
That looks great. I've been a member of IMO for a few years but have never really got into the detailed analysis. If I get a camera permenantly set up this year I'm hoping to try out UFO Analyser to see if I can get some more meaningful results.
Cheers,
Bill.
