Yah
I found a mistype of '*' instead of '+' in peakhold computation on newly supported RGB32 format.
Probably, this may cause the crash.

That solved the crash, thanks!
I was experimenting with frame rates today. It seems on my laptop I can stream fast but when it saves video, even to RAM disk, the frame rate I count based on timestamps is much lower in UFOCapture but also in Point Grey FlyCap2, which displays 10-20 frames per second at full resolution successfully saved. Maybe an internal bottleneck of my laptop. I can try to find a safe upper limit in data rate. In UFOCaptureHD, 160x120 @ 1145 fps saved more like 180-300 frames per second.
In UFOCaptureHD I also noticed very long "activating" stages depending on frame rates and maybe frames before and after.

Thank you for reporting.
It seems I could have done my role!!
Thank you so much for very rapid testing of trials. It may not be possible other than you.
about activating, I think it can be on a high frame rate.
... may be I can improve this. I will update UFOCaptureHD2 version to 3.61 soon, so please use it..
-------------
now v3.61 is available

Thank you
I have now a very clear sky at home and I tried to capture. Somehow the camera's directshow driver does not keep a long shutter time. It re-initializes with 26.82 frames per second slowest. I was lucky and captured a meteor near Vega with 25mm F0.95, 24 dB gain (max) and 3.99 gamma (max). Brightness setting 0.39. It apparently did not record continuously (shutter not 1/fps?). Upper right corner shows my roof.
But when I typed here with the camera running in UFOCaptureHD in the background, I got a blue screen crash caused by the driver. It seems dangerous to run this... I hope Point Grey support can fix/improve the driver.

I have a question of UFO Capture V2 and UFO capture HD2. Does both of them support following capture card, within software limits of usable resolution ?
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/decklink/techspecs/W-DLK-12
This would be in my understanding only "dual model" capture card from Blackmagic that would support analog composite video (PAL) and Full HD (via HD-SDI or HDMI).
Planned to use this with UFO capture V2 at 720*576 PAL, and later in UFO capture HD2 (1920*1080).
I have read here some versions of Blackmagic card been tested with UFO capture HD2. I did not found any info of this specific card...

Hi
I am testing this card DeckLink Studio 4K just now.
So far, the results are below.
4K 29.97p - SDI OK
4K 23.98p - SDI OK
2K 59.94p - SDI OK
2K 59.94i - SDI OK
NTSC composite OK
But I count not use HDMI input of this card . Copy protection or something may relate this, but I don't know why.
So, I don't recommend this card for HDMI input.
For other source, I guess this card will work fine with UFOCapture, but If you use only 2K or 4K with SDI, then Deck Link SDI 4K will be enough and low cost.

there was a comment on the Declink page for this card:
***********
Copy Protection
HDMI input is unable to capture from copy protected HDMI sources. Always confirm copyright ownership before capture or distribution of content.
************
what was the HDMI input device you used when this issue seen...?
was the SDI connected via HDMI to SDI adapter / converter ?
I think if the Declink capture card HDMI input would be connected for example to copy protected sources (like bluray hdmi output) I quess the issue would arise then....
About the normal HDMI used for DSLR's -I am not yet 100% sure - if those are copy protected....

I connected ILCE-7S HDMI output, I don't think it is copy protected....
I connected it to HDMI-SDI4K converter and conect its SDI to this card, then it worked fine.
I guess there may be some bugs in the BMD current device driver for Windows.....

I found this thread on Blackmagicdesing forum.... To me it sounds that some other people also have same issues with the card you used - when try capture over HDMI:

fyi,
I saw this Bluefish444 producing also capture cards / converters. Many of them, seems to be compatible up to UHD/4K resolutions.
http://www.bluefish444.com/products/retail/default.asp
http://www.bluefish444.com/products/retail/converters.asp
http://www.bluefish444.com/products/retail/SDretail.asp
They also have a few media converters on their page. Models (ANA140, HDMI120, SDI110) seem to support only HD resolution (not UHD/4K)
I do not have own experience of this company / products. Maybe these will offer alternative to HD/UHD capture via HDMI connection, since currently BMD has HDMI issues. Bluefish444 cards seem to have high costs, compared to BMD PCIe cards. I think it would be too much for most of the people setting up meteor camera stations. If the cards here have some HW accelerated video processing, what I think, that coudl affect the price...
Here is one example of distributor price mentioned, cheapest cards are approx 1300...1600 USD(!).
