Hi
UFOCapture requires the device driver of video input device that is compatible with Windows DirectShow un-compressed video capture interface.
As far as I know, there is no IP camera that provides such device driver,
so I think it is impossible to use IP cameras.
UFOCapture is used mostly with general video capture device that inputs standard video formats like below.
UFOCaptureV2:
NTSC 720X480/29.97fps, PAL 720x576/25.00fps.
UFOCaptureHD2:
HD 1920x1080/29.97i. 29.97p, 30.0i, 59.9p
UHD 3840x1080/29.97p
There are so many camera that uses these formats.
As an example of the capture device, BlackMagicDisign Intensity Pro 4k can handle all
format above through analog composite video signal, or digital HDMI video signal.
Sorry there is no compatibility list maintained. Devices are changing very rapidly on each country.
What are your target objects? If they are meteors, I recommend to use ultra high sensibity cameras like WATEC902H2U or Sony ILCE-7s (everybody uses those). Never select IPCameras or USB web cams, their sensitibity on the normal frame rate is very poor and not-compatible.

Hi,
Thanks for your help...
As i see you use different convecter to send watec cam to your pc.
Look like the signal from the Watec camera is composite video....this type of signal is very low is quality no?
If you use a watec cam and the gv-usb2, what is the quality or resolution you get in your computer screen?
Why not using better resolution cam?
Does the low lux camera is the first think you should have?
Thanks?

Well it is the history.
SD (NTSC composite analog) 640x480 or 720x480/29.97 fps interlaced available at 2003, requires 2GHz single core processor UFOCaptureV2
HD 60i 1920x1080/29.97fps interlaced available at 2010 requires 2.0GHz x4 thread CPU, 200Mbyte/sec storage writing speed. UFOCaptureHD2
HD 60p 1920x1080/59.94fps progressive available at 2012 requires 3.0GHz x4 thread CPU, 400Mbyte/sec storage writing speed. UFOCaptureHD2
4K 30p 3820x2160/29.97fps progressive available at 2013 requires 4.0GHz cpu x8 thread. 800MByte/sec storage writing speed. UFOCaptureHD2
Yes, 4K camera is apparently the best, I recommend to use it for new projects, if the budget is enough. But still low cost SD system is far better than none.
But the ultra hi-sensitivity camera like watec902H2U or ILCE-7s is essential for meteor or TLE observation for all resolution. Usual sensitivity camera will capture almost none.

Thanks you for your fast answer....
What about this model?:http://www.ktncusa.com/750-tvl/700_tvl_box/box-camera
Color ~0.001 lux, B/W ~ 0.0001Lux/F=1.0 (Zero ghosting guaranteed)
KPC-BSP6300NU
This model is from KT&C....i think some older model was popular for a lot of people.
I'm trying to find a cam with low cost....i know...low cost = low quality...but the Watec is too expensive....
Thanks

It is not clear.... There is not enough information on the page.
There are so many cameras that uses frame stacking or slow shutter to increase the sensitivity for the night. But it is not usable for mortion detection. I guess that this model is one of those.
