I am new to UFOCapture and am encountering an issue with the software recording short videos continuously.
I am using a Watec 902H2 Ultimate. The camera view previews just fine. In detecting mode, as soon as something triggers the software to record, it will record one video as it should. After the video is done recording, the display screen goes black and starts detecting again. After about one second, the display screen switches from black to the current camera view. This change is detected as movement and the software starts recording video again. Because there is no real movement, the video is only 2 seconds long (I have Head and Tail set to 30 frames). After this, the cycle repeats and records another 2 second video. This repeats until my hard drive is full.
Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if it would be helpful to know anything else or see one of the videos.

There may be some confusion. This video is mine that was recorded in 2004.
Anyway, about your trouble, it sounds the CPU or strage device is too slow or stopping.
Usually, the live screen never stops and no blanking will appear.
It sounds CPU was too busy by recording process and paused for detecting.
....Or storage was stopping...
What is your PC (or what CPU and storage device)?
What is your capture device?
What version of Windows ?

Sorry about the video. I am having some difficulty uploading one of my videos.
I am using an HP Z230 Workstation. It is running Windows 7 Enterprise. The software and videos are located on the internal hard drive with 180 GB free of 237 GB.
The video capture device is a Easy CAPture USB 2.0 Video Adapter with Audio.
I have tried several other computers, and will try a new video capture device soon. Please let me know if any other knowledge will be useful.

The PC seems enough powerful.
As for broken AVI problem, check settings below. Both setting is very important.
If continuous trigger problem still occurs, please describe it.
