Hi, SonotaCo,
I have some questions about algorithms used in UFO Analyzer:
1. what method of de-interlacing is used - there are several options, e.g. line doubling, first order interpolation (a.k.a line everaging), ELA, STELLA, etc.?
2. what method of search for maximum is used?
3. every camera has any readout time (it means, that real exposure time is shorter than frame rate time) - how is it compensated in speed calculations?
Thank You very much for Your answer!

The first order interpolation is used on the creation of de-interlaced image.
But please be aware that the de-interlaced image is just for viewing but not used for measurement.

maximum of what for what?

Exposure time is not used on the UFOAnalyzer.
On the measurement on video frames, the velocity is computed from the movement in the multiple frames of video.
So the frame rate (repetition time) is important, but the exposure time of each frame can be canceled if it is constant during the video.
It seems that you are assuming something quite different...Could you explain the background of questions? |
