|
|
Hi,
I'm having trouble downloading NightScheduler from the link at the bottom of this page:
http://sonotaco.com/soft/UFOHD2/UFOHD2Manual/en/0-0.html
Is there another link I could try perhaps please?
Also, is it necessary for the PC, or in my case PCs (I'm going to be running 4 PCs to begin with, and possibly adding more in the near future), to always be connected to the internet? Could I just connect them every few days and do a manual "internet time sync" (using Win 10)?
PS. I would like to buy 3x licence for UFO Capture V2. I have already bought one copy at the end of last year.
Is it straight forward to buy multiple copies at the same time, or should I buy each individually?
Best regards,
Leo

There are differences in time accuracy, in most cases once in a few days may not be a problem for practical use.

Just select the quantity in the Shopping cart

I've just installed and registered NightScheduler but before I continue I'm a little bit confused about some aspects and have a few more questions:
- I've tried to set my location in NS as 52.8,-1.9 (my location is around 30 km north of the city of Birmingham in England), but if I do that and set the Time Zone to 0, then I see the wrong sunset/sunrise times for my location. It says 14:36 (SunSet) and 02:34 (SunRise)in the boxes next to "Latitude" and "Timezone". What am I doing wrong?
- Is the Windows system hybernate file required? I have deactivated it, but can reactivate it again I suppose. It might mean my C:\ drive is fairly full however. I only have small SATA SSDs for system drives.
- Once I've added a schedule, how do I activate it?
- If I click "Test", does the PC shutdown (asuming it's during daylight), and then boot at the specified time, or am I required to shut down the PC?
- I cant see any mention of shutdown in the documentation, but I presume it does so at sunrise?
Thank you for any help.
Best regards,
Leo

- The latitude and longitude seems reversed. You have set 52.8 as longitude.
- Hibernation is not involved. The PC must be set not to sleep/hibernation.
- Check "on" in "add schedule" .
- "Test" will immediately just execute the specified "exe"., check what you assigned.
- Specify a shutdown command to shut down the system. You need to use BIOS or WOL to start the system.

Thank you for your answers, and sorry for all the questions.
I did have my long/lat reversed. I'm going to have to start getting some early nights for a change! We had quite a few clear/semi-clear nights, and I love to observe the early PERs, as well as the CAPs and KCGs (observed 4 suspected KCGs last night).
OK so I've tried to set up a new schedule, and I think it's OK now. See attchment.
I tried "test" and UFO capture stars up. Do I have to do anything for UFO Capture to start detecting?
How do I specify a shutdown command?
Also, in the shedule settings dialog, what is the "Absolute Time", and when might I need to adjust it?
Sorry once again for all the questions.
Best regards,
Leo

Set detection schedule at UFOCapture > Operation Sheet > Detect Schedule > settings
| Leo S wrote: | | How do I specify a shutdown command? |
Check "Shutdown after detect end" on UFOCapture detection schedule or execute a .bat file that includes Windows's shutdown command by NightSchedular.
| Leo S wrote: | | Also, in the shedule settings dialog, what is the "Absolute Time", and when might I need to adjust it? |
It is normal local time that is not relative to Sun rise/Sun set
