Load ground map tab
Main tab,

make sure asterisk, otherwise click to enable dir
make sure date all
press, read dir
select a clip, with plenty of stars
choose mask editor tab

tick intlc if video is interlaced, usually true profile/analyze tab
tick bbf if using DV video like canopus profile/analyze tab
tick all boxes for fovh, yx, k2,k3,dy,dx,k4 profile/analyze tab
make sure mg is ticked on the mask editor tab
this means they will be considered when calculating the best position
Use the move arrows along with rot parameter to get an approx match
when you see they correct stars in yellow, near the stars in the scintillation blue, press link mask editor tab
then manual link mask editor tab
then left select the yellow star, hold down the left mouse button as you drag the line
to the corresponding star in blue, let go of the left mouse button when in the center of the blue main window
repeat for as many stars as possible
click finish link mask editor tab
click adj pos all profile/analyze tab
wait while UA2 calculates
when finished click auto link mask editor tab
then click adj pos all again profile/analyze tab
then click mag, this will calibrate magnitudes profile/analyze tab
hopefully all yellow stars will now be inside the blue scintillation mask points
some blue 'stars' will be hot pixels so ignore them
click save P and save this profile profile/analyze tab
hit A to analyze profile/analyze tab
close down UA2 and open it up again, so that it 'remembers' this profile
if UA2 'forgets this profile, you will need to click read P and read the profile you saved
for each clip press A to analyze or if all clips will have same profile , click analyze all main tab
If you click 'analyze' UA2 will not recalibrate magnitude and position profile/analyze tab
If you click 'A' then calibration occurs for position and magnitude
Clicking analyze all is the same as clicking 'A' for each clip profile/analyze tab
Let me know if you have any problems, Robert. |
