Hello,
First of all, I am new in this area. I am trying to use UFAnalyzer to sort out the clips. I used the "analyze all" function and all the clips enter mainly in 3 categories: flash, noise, none. Moreover, the flash class contains lightening, insects, birds, etc.
Could anybody tell me please how to adjust the default parameters under the type param menu? The e-classes can be assigned to each clip only manually? How can I use the function Move file to move only the _flash clips?
Thank you, Lucian. |

Hi Lucian, welcome.

Yes, it can be assigned only manually.
UFOAnalyzer was originally developed as a measurement tool for meteors.
It classifies objects depend on the parameters shown in "type param" only.
They are basic measurable parameters which may be enough for meteors but may not be enough for others.
The automatic recognition of other objects are very difficult.
Air planes, satellites and helicopters are very similar. Birds and insects are also hard to distinguish.
Therefore classification of e-class is the role of human now.
If a certain kind of objects have some special characteristics,
it might be possible to distinguish them from others, by using current type parameters.
What is your observation purpose?

Oh, it is rather exceptional operation but it can be done by following steps.
Firstly, append a line "101,___flash,0" by text editor to UA2_EClass.csv in working directory of UA2 .
(this make it possible to handle "__flash" class. Be careful about the number of "_")
1. Open Uty sheet, push "Move files" button and open the Move files dialog.
2. Check "e-class clips ?*" check box ON.
3. Double Click the target column of "_flash" line in the table and mark it as "*".
4. Push "Count" button and confirm the number of selected clips.
5. Set "Move/Copy Destination" properly.
6. Push "Move clips" button.
Usually, we delete unwanted clips firstly and set e-class manually before other operation.
It reduces total operation. This is my recommendation. |
