Hi Sonotaco,
We are making a database (based on www.boam.fr database, available in english now) in order to do the link between UFOCapture/UFOAnalyser data and xml file necessary to post in IMO database (VMO). In UFOAnalyser A.xml file, there is a "drop" field that is not describe in manuel page 52-55. What is this field?
Thanks and best regards.

Hi
"drop" is the number of drop(lost) frames, counted by UFOCaptureV2 during capturing.
Normally, it should be -1 (means none).
If it is > 0, it means there was video capture problem (process could not catch up the speed of input video data stream. May be HDD was busy, ex. occupied by other tasks.) |

Hi Sonotaco,
We are created the new tables in boam. So we are added some check about fields in xml file. The check has been made on 11913 A.xml files of several stations and we are some errors.
The first error is -1.#IND00 for some fields in ufoanalyzer_record part. (dv field, etc).
Have you an idea why UFOAnalyzer puts -1.#IND00 as value in xml file?
Thanks and best regards.

Hi Stephane
-1#IND00 is the mark that represents mathematical exception such as "divide by zero".
It sometimes happens when automated measurement was not done well.
There are two types depend on the case.
One is the measurement is not reliable at all, and the result should be discarded or re-analysis (with modifying the threshold or mask region) needed.
The other is the result has no problem for multi-station triangulation.
For example if -1#IND00 is only on "dv" and/or "Vo"(it means single station angular velocity measurement was not done well), it is OK for multi-station triangulation because angular velocity or Vo is not used in later process.

Hi Sonotaco,
So, How I can test a "bad" or "don't worry" value (or I can accept or not a detection)?

It depends on your post procerss.
As for triangulation of UFOOrbitV2 you dont need to care about this.
It will be tested automatically by quality conditions using triangulated result.
As for single station observation, there is no perfect way to judge correctly.
So you should re-analyze by changing analyse conditions (ex ddl, qm) to detect correct trajectory if there is IND#xx values.
The "Singe" part of "Quality" sheet of UFOOrbitV2 shows related parameters. They can be used for automated test, But may be you should check its video by your eyes finally. |

As a new member i greet all the members of the forum!
I read that Stephan is "making a database (based on www.boam.fr database, now available in english) in order to do the Link Between UFOCapture / UFOAnalyser date and xml file Necessary to post IMO database (VMO)."
I assume, if I understand it, that means to align the data contained in software ufo capture and analyzer in order to make these data compatible with the data IMO!
At this point I make my question:
1) The files saved in. Xml or. Csv contain the same data?
2) In UFOAnalyser A.csv file, there is a lot of field that is not in manual !
I summarize all entries of a my file. csv asking to Sonataco what these acronyms
mean!
Some items are intuitive while others are not!
Could you explain their meanings?
Thank you!
Alfredo

For the conversion, I use the xml files where all fields are decribed in UFO manuals.
The only file .cvs that I will use is the file indicating the start and stop of UFO running.

Hi Sonotaco,
I'm finalizing the creation of xml file to post in VMO, if possible because I have not support from IMO to make some tests.
I would like to have only a confirmation about the data in the UFOAnalyzer A.xml file. In the UFOANalyzer documentation I have not found if the data follows the J2000.0 standard. I think yes.
Thanks and best regards.

The coordinate system of UFOAnalyzer depends on the reference star catalog which is used for camera profile computation.
Current packaged star catalog is based on SKY2000 Star Catalog. It is J2000.

Hi Sonotaco,
Thanks for your quick reply.
So, It's in line with the IMO request about XML file to post in VMO database.
This is the first result of Xml generate from BOAM database for VMO:

<vmo version="1.0" xmlns="http://www.imo.net">

I finished the XML file generation. So at this time I have had a contact with VMO: VMO have not yet an xml interface which is be able to received XML file from any systems.
In //, the XML file that I provided has been checked and it is "ready to send".
Normally, a presentation of XML generation file from BOAM (or from data provided by UFO series) will be show in La Palma.
