Pictures befor the heating started appear to show a disk shape craft. After the firey entry, the upper portion of the craft appears to be missing, now behind the main object
upside down.

NOTE: This second version has the frame by frame sequence at the end.
What I thought was a common meteor video turned out to have a surprise!
This was captured on 8/13/2012, at 4:49 AM, on a Yukon Night Ranger digital night vision camera.
Recording video feed with UFO Capture software in motion detection mode.
Camera was pointed North at an elevation of 60 degrees. The object detected befor hitting the atmosphere and then starts to glow, then turns in to a fireball. Near the end it emerges from the fireball still intact for the most part.
The frames were pulled using VirtualDub, pasted into MS Paint, imported into SONY PMB, magnified to max, and noise reduced. Enjoy the links below.

Hi Ron

Thank you for reporting.
Interesting, but even using very sharp lens under highly transparent sky, evaporation or explosion makes indeterminate form of luminescence.
Also, a frame image is a kind of peakhold image of a certain time period (1/60sec NTSC, 1/50sec PAL). So moving object often shows flat or straight line shapes.

I have been looking 20000 meteor videos par year for 9 years. I think yours can be a normal meteor with short after glow.
Of course there is possibility of the existence of UFOs in those videos, but many of them are measured its height and velocity by multistation triangulation.
And we had no clear evidence of UFOs yet.
