Hi
I recently upgraded PC to Win 7 and now UFO Capture 224 doesn't work correctly.
On first installing I ran as administrator, when it asked for the key data. This was accepted.
I then set it to run, but overnight UFOCapture closed itself down. Then when I try to run it next time it asks for the key details again.
This happens every time.
Please can you advise on what I am doing wrong?

Try below
1. run UFO2.exe as the administrator (by clicking "run as administrator" on the menu that appears by right clicking of the UFO2.exe.
2. do registration and re-install ax, then once close the program.
3. run UFD2.exe again
Does it run again normally? |

Thanks for that. I think it might have solved it, but will not know until tonight.
I also have a problem with one of my other cameras. (I have a total of three cameras, each with a dedicated PC).
On one of them I am getting short videos which seem corrupted. Most successful bideo captures give file sizes of 40-60mb. However with this camera many times I get a good image of a meteor in the jpgs of the capture but the video is short and will not play correctly. The size of such videos tends to be 4-20mb.
Your advice would be appreciated
Thanks

It is FAQ on Windows7 or after.
Check Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced settings > Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after
...
Broken Avi can happen when avi file writing speed cannot catch up the video stream speed. It can be such as below.
1) HDD power was off(spin downed).
Check Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced settings > Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after -> Never
2) CPU power or storage writing speed is not enough.
3) Other task that uses HDD was using HDD (such as anti virus, indexing....). |

Many thanks for the prompt reply.
I have tried to pin down where the video capture problem is with my PC, so have decided to replace it with another to see if that is better.
I'll get back to you if I have any more queries.
Thanks again
