|

Hi Sonotaco,
What is the best camera system in 2023? still Sony A72? (Is this camera available in the market?)
I would like to build the best - but tested - system, could you recommend a 4K60FPS color camera ? which capture card should I buy? and what should be the PC's specifications?
I've seen on the Japanese forum that you plan to exchange some A7s cameras nowadays. I've seen your excel about 4K cameras, the AC switch off function is crucial if I would like to observe the south part of the sky? There is a reliable option to cover the Sun during daytime?

4K60p, tested, currentry available system is below.
Sony ZV-E1 is expected as a better sensitivity camera, but not tested yet.
Cooling fan and automated Sun light shader must be equipped for this camera against the direct sunlight in daytime.
PC spec shown is the minimum sample for 4K60p.

Thank you for the quick answer. Do you have any sample about a fireball with this DC-BGH1 camera? Does the brightest part oversaturated?

Hi Sonotaco,
I bought the camera box DC-BGH1, a lens Sigma 16mm f/1.4 MFT and the Blackmagic design decklink quad HDMI recorder... Now I have to build the PC... could you be so kind and give me a detailed information about that?
I already know the processor has to be an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM?
Motherboard?
HDD?
SSD?
Power supply?
Cables have to be HDMI 2 Professional and after every 5m I have to use a repeater...
any other important spec what I didn't think about?
Regards
Gábor

My pc for DC-BGH1 C4K60p is...
AMD Ryzen 5800X on ASUS Tuff gaming B550 plus with 32GB mem, 2TB M2 SSD for one night capture and 14TB HDD for annual clips stacking .
But, now, there may be much better PCs.
True memory requirement for C4K60p 1sec time shift(60frame) of UFOCaptureHD2 is less than 6GB, so 16GB memory will be enough.
The SSD for capturing storage must have the writing speed over 1100MB/s (4096x2160x2x60). so, M2 Gen3x4 or better must be used.
I'm using 4K video splitter for extending the HDMI cable, and put it HDMI EDID emulator on it. It keeps video connection while PC power is off. see below
